The Plough, whose location is more accurately described as Stalisfield Green, is a stunningly beautiful pub in Kent and has been used in the filming of the television program Darling Buds of May.

This was one of many pub beer festivals held over the Bank Holiday weekend.

In total, over the weekend, there were 34 different beers offered, mostly at £3.20 a pint, Cider was £3.50.

Kentish brewers were well represented with Gadds, Whitstable, Hopdaemon, Goachers, Old Dairy, Westerham, Larkins and Wantsum (see photo for full list).

There was a Hog roast and other good food was served. This pub is loyal to Kent as the food is sourced locally, as are the keg beers and wines. No national brands here!

Important Information:

The beer festival is normally held over the August Holiday weekend which is the last in the month. For further details on future festivals please contact:

This is a stunningly beautiful pub that was built between 1350 and 1450 and is worth visiting at any time. The food is all locally sourced from farms in the area. And, unusually, most of the drink is also. Beers and Cider come from the county as well as the waters, fruit juices, wines and even keg beers such as stout and lager.
