For the second year running the company's Annual General Meeting was held in the Faversham Parish Church. As is known, the previous year had been very recessive, so shareholders were pleased to see that turnover, operating profit and dividends were all up. A good result achieved in very difficult trading circumstances.
The satisfied shareholders then decamped to the brewery where a reception was held in what is normally the museum area, but what is now developed into a venue for hiring, wedding receptions, live bands, etc, and is known as The Old Brewery Stores. A buffet was served and three draught ales, Masterbrew Bitter, Spitfire and Late Red were offered along with wines and lagers.
