Opposite Brauhaus Mitte there is a street under the railway line, Rosa-Luxembourg-Strasse.
About 200 metres along, and with a left turn into Munzstrasse and you will see Marcus-Bräu at number 1.
This quirky pub has a tiny brewery behind the bar and has been there since 2000.
They brew two beers; Pils, which I thought was just OK, but not very bitter as this style should be; and Dunkel, which was acceptable. They have a very good, inexpensive, menu that offers extremely high quality food, including many Bavarian specialities.
Something new, they now distil their own liquors, various flavoured schnapps selling at €1 each. Hope they're a bit better than the beers, lovely pub though. Second and third opinions required.
