This pub is a branch of a small chain that is to be found in and around the city.
They have a very simple concept in that they are loyal to the small village breweries of Franconia (Franken), this part of Bavaria (Bayern).
In fact the title translates as Country Beer Paradise.
There is always a large number of bottled beer of many styles but the feature that I like most is their draught beer.
From a wooden cask there is always something worth having from a small producer.
In this case was Landbier-Hell (5.0%) from the Staffelberg Brewery of Loffeld, and very nice it was too.
As soon as one cask is finished, another is put on.
The décor is rustic, a bit "log cabin", but you don't come here for luxury.
The beer is backed up by solid Franconian cooking. A great little pub!
